Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 26, 2026

BeOnTop Canada ("we") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act, Quebec's Law 25 where it applies, and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

What we collect

  • Details you send us: name, email, phone, business website and your message.
  • Marketing consent: whether you ticked the box to receive marketing emails, with the date and wording you agreed to.
  • Website analytics: pages visited, device and approximate location, collected with Google Analytics. Our built-in Google Analytics does not load at all until you allow analytics in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer; withdrawing removes our analytics cookies from your browser.
  • Campaign details: only if you allowed analytics, the campaign that brought you (for example a tagged link or ad click identifier), your landing page and the referring site are saved with your enquiry so we know which marketing works.
  • Client account data you share so we can deliver services (for example Google Search Console or ad account access).
  • Live chat: your messages, the name and email you choose to give, the page you were on and the time. Your browser keeps a random chat code in local storage (not a cookie) so the conversation continues across pages. If you leave before we answer and gave an email, we email our reply to you. Our chat runs on our own website, not a third-party chat service.

How we use it

To reply to your request, prepare your audit, deliver and bill our services, improve our website and, only if you opted in, send marketing emails. We do not sell personal information.

Marketing emails (CASL)

We send marketing emails only with your consent or where the law allows implied consent. The opt-in box on our forms is optional and unticked, and names us with our mailing address and contact email. Every marketing email identifies us, includes our mailing address and an unsubscribe link, and we process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.

Sharing and storage

We use trusted service providers (for example website hosting, email and analytics) who may store data outside Canada, including in the United States. They may be subject to the laws of those countries. We require them to protect your information.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and protect it with reasonable safeguards. Enquiries are stored privately on our website and can only be viewed by our administrators. Records of marketing consent are kept as proof of that consent while you remain subscribed.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent, by contacting our privacy officer. Quebec residents have additional rights under Law 25.
